Over Johnny Delaware
Johnny Delaware grew up in South Dakota and spent his twenties in Nashville, Albuquerque and Austin before eventually settling in Charleston. There, he recorded his debut album in 2013. Not long after, he co-founded SUSTO, the acclaimed indie-roots band that toured with artists including The Lumineers, Band of Horses and The Head and the Heart. He builds on that solo work with a sound that blends Americana, folk, country and psychedelia. His songs are warm, cinematic and melancholic, exploring love, loss, regret and the choices we make in life. Johnny Delaware previously performed as the support act for Dylan LeBlanc and returns to Groningen on Saturday 8 May 2027.
